WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MEASURING FOR YOUR SHOWER SCREEN

To ensure measurements are accurate and the correct shower screen size is ordered, measurements should be taken once the tiling is completed.

Our Shower Screens are available in two standard heights either 1850mm or 1950mm high. Choosing a shower screen is usually dependent on the height of your tiles, we recommend that the shower screen should not sit higher than your tiles, to protect your plaster. Also be mindful if there is sufficient coverage for water from the showerhead.

Remember to measure the surrounding area of the shower screen to ensure there is enough space for the door to open with ease without hitting anything.

Using a spirit level, check your wall and floor surfaces to see if they are level or have any run outs.

Our Shower Screens are designed to accommodate out of plumb walls and have a width tolerance of 60mm for the front & 20mm tolerance for the return panel.
MEASURING FOR A FRONT ONLY SHOWER SCREEN
Mark your chosen height on both sides of the wall (either 1850mm or 1950mm)
Take a measurement of the width (between walls) at the top of the shower and bottom (along the floor). If you have a base, measure from internal recess to recess. If you have a tiled recess, measure between walls.
MEASURING FOR A FRONT & RETURN SHOWER SCREEN
Measuring for a shower enclosure is a little bit different than measuring for a shower front only. With a shower enclosure, you also have to measure for a return panel from the rear wall to the front of the base.
But in the case of a tiled recess, you will need to measure from the rear wall to the grout line that indicates the end of the shower base area & add 10mm. This measurement will be the width of the fixed panel.
Record your height & the base size or the tiled area you want to cover.
